The building and construction industry is utilizing an increasing amount of plastics to reduce costs, improve design freedom, and to expedite construction. Yet, industry FR standards often prohibited the use of thin, transparent PC or PET materials that relied on the use of traditional FR additves such as brominated flame retardants.
